Love"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201c<em>In my brokenness, loneliness&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And the secrets You see<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>My deepest thoughts, my hidden wars<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>God You see right through me<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Even when I am overthinking&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Somehow You love me simply<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I started contemplating a new blog entry, days earlier, the song, <em>Uncomplicated<\/em> by Hillsong Young &amp; Free,  struck a chord with me. Simply because it speaks to the heart of my soul.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Uncomplicated (Live) - Hillsong Young &amp; Free\" width=\"678\" height=\"381\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bIv5mIksNX0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Uncomplicated &#8211; Hillsong Young and Free &#8211; \u00a9 Hillsong Publishing<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So last Sunday, whilst house-sitting in the CBD of Cape Town, and the sun finally started peeking behind the fluffy clouds, hastily being chased inland by the Cape Doctor (South Easterly wind), I ventured on a bus to Camps Bay. (Being in town already, as well as the pleasant weather is good enough reason to do so &#8211; especially with being in the midst of Covid lockdown.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I grabbed my choice of drink at one of the local coffee places, sat down, and meditated on a verse of Scripture, I have read and heard preached a lot in the past:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"69\" class=\"wp-image-69\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083-768x768.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/sparkys-blog.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/75EB5880-B081-4F07-8C65-C8E3B92F0083.jpeg 1440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Since we\u2019ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we\u2019re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u202d\u202dRomans\u202c \u202d3:23-24 &#8211; The Message Translation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the corner of my eye, I noticed a mom reprimanding her small son for dropping his chocolate drink, that they just bought from the same place I did my coffee. Something significant happened in the same breath of the scolding &#8211; she called out to her husband, who was still on my side of the road, at the coffee shop, to buy the son a new chocolate drink to replace the one spilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then this thought came to my mind:&nbsp; Even though we do wrong and fall short of God\u2019s presence, He still, like the mom, Loves us simply and extends His Grace to us freely, and without terms and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that took me back to the lyric:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Even though I overthinking, You just Love me simply<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thing with God\u2019s Grace is that it&#8217;s not a logical thing we have to figure out with our minds; simply just allowing Him to pour out His Grace abundantly, covering sin and shame but freely with a posture of surrender accepts His 70 times seventy, and beyond, type Forgiveness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cIn my brokenness, loneliness&nbsp; And the secrets You see My deepest thoughts, my hidden wars God You see right through me Even when I am overthinking&nbsp; Somehow You love me simply\u201d When I started contemplating a new blog entry, days earlier, the song, Uncomplicated by Hillsong Young &amp; Free, struck a chord with me.
